Patricia M. Walsh Memorial Scholarship

The Patricia M. Walsh Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in May 1974, as a perpetuating annual scholarship fund. Patricia Walsh was a very active student at Maple Woods Community College. She was involved with the Geology Club and was a Maple Woods Community College Cheerleader. In the Spring of 1974, she was 19 years old when her life was tragically ended in a bicycle - motorcycle accident. The student government and clubs on the Maple Woods campus raised the initial money for the fund. Money was also donated by family and friends. This scholarship is awarded and is available annually to students enrolling at the MCC Maple Woods campus.
