The FF-EL 201-NC (TIP), also known as the Fire Fighter Entrance Exam (FSEE) and formerly as the B-5, is an assessment developed by IPMA-HR designed to help reduce or eliminate significant score differences between gender and racial/ethnic groups through the addition of a non-cognitive (NC) component known as the Firefighter Interest Questionnaire. Fire departments may use the results of this assessment as part of their hiring and candidate screening process.
