Women in Welding

This exploratory course, designed especially for Women, requires no prior welding experience. Students will develop an awareness of oxy-fuel cutting and of the more common welding processes in the welding industry. An emphasis will be placed on GMAW welding with students experiencing the process in the laboratory setting.

Note: Participants are required to wear proper footwear (sturdy leather footwear, no tennis shoes), jeans with no holes, and cotton long-sleeved shirts. Safety glasses will be provided if participants do not have their own. Please avoid clothing made from man-made materials.
